Topic: Still Losing??
I am just curious. How many of you are still losing? I hit my goal 14 pounds ago and am still losing.
If it goes not stop soon, I will have to drink some supplement shakes.

Thank you everyone for your support. I know that I have issues with food and will have to work through it in order to be completely 100% successful. I thank God for the success that I have had and hope and rely on everyone's support to be successful in the future. Now that the honeymoon is almost over I need to buckle down and finish this out.
On another note, my sister had bypass done over two years ago and I spent the entire day at the hospital with her today. She had been having severe pain after eating for awhile now. They finally listened to her and she ended up having surgery. He removed some adhesions and there were some kinks in her bowel. She's doing great and will be released tomorrow but it's a wake-up call. Remember pain is NOT normal.
Hope everyone has a great week. Take care!

I love the gazelle too, but it seems too easy. The one we hae doesn't have any way to increase resistance. I don't know if any of them do...but it jsut seems so easy. After a while, I do feel a little short of breath I guess. Maybe I just feel like I'm cheating because it's not a hard workout that makes me sweat. Either way, I'm not sitting on the couch all day anymore. I actually do get up and move on that thing, which is better than nothing. Since we got it used, we don't have the tape to go with it. Is ir really helpful? I would order one if I knew that it's gonna help increase my workout.
Take care, Kristen

I am very interested in this thread. I too had my surgery November 2003 and I am down to 169. I've lost 80 lbs. and have 30 to go. I feel great, but I've only lost about 6 pounds or so in the last 6 months! I am exercising now on a regular basis - should have done that from the start! I am also tracking my food on Fitday.com. I'm working to stay between 800 and 1200 calories, but I could easily eat more. The exercise has really been great! In 2 weeks, I've gained 2 pounds and then lost that 2 pounds. But, I'm not discouraged, I'm just curious what everyone else is doing to beat this lull! I'm sure that not exercising more earlier on didn't help. And, I think my caloric intake got away from me as I was able to eat more and wasn't journaling my food. I really don't eat too many "no-no's" but once I started journaling I was shocked at the number of calories I could consume. Seems like I was probably between 1500-2000 on a regular basis before I started Fitday. Any tips or words of encouragement appreciated and for everyone else - hang in there!! Keep coming to this site to support each other!! AND, be proud of how far we've come so far!

My husband got a gazelle for ten bucks and I use that thing all the time. We have gym memberships, but I never use mine. JOhn uses his once in a while but mainly gets his workout at his jujitsu class and riding his dirtbike. I'm more sedentary than I should be. As for my wt, I've maintained the same wt for a few months now. My BMI is 24. I'd like to lose atleast another 10 lbs. But am really happy here.
I don't understand what you are saying about eating 1300 minus 500. Where do you get the 1300 from?

well what i heard was you have to eat for the weight you want to be. It's still like 1300 calories minus the 500. How many calories are you eating a day and are you still losing?
PS: do u work out?
Topic: RE: Calorie call pleaseeeeeeeee
Isn't that insane! I think I remember reading once that as post ops, we should be eating about 200 calories less than a normal person. That's still 2042 calories for you! Then if you want to lose, you need to cut out even more. I think it's an additional 200 or 500....that's still more than you eat now. 1542! SO I guess you need to up your calories. I hope it helps.
