Topic: RE: First time on THIS board!
Mine is to be committed to an exercise program. I'd like to be running 2 miles by this time next year. This is an issue w/me because when I was a Marine we ran ALL the time. (I guess they couldn't afford transportation)
When I had 3 children in less than 2 years I think my bladder ended up around my knees!
now everytime I run I become incontinent. Forget a trampoline! Anyway, I've been walking around our H.S. track and I walk uphill and have been occasionally running downhill. (hey, you have to start out EASY). So I don't know if it's a true goal I can achieve but I'm gonna try!

Topic: RE: Men problems..... help.....
If you're honest w/yourself when you read your post, your weight wasn't the issue. The man lived w/his mother after his divorce and he traded in her for you. It's great he's not drinking anymore but he needs to start living his life dependent on HIM not anyone else especially as an example to his son. Any change is uncomfortable but it sounds like you need to find someone who w/love you because of who you are not what you can do for them and vice versa. If you decide to put this relationship on hold be prepared for a major pity party from him to try and change your mind
BUT hold out, it w/be the best thing for him and his son if he learns to stand on his own. You'll be fine just look for a man in the right places. Try the gym, church, grocery stores, or if you really enjoy a hobby, join a club w/men in it w/the same interests as you. MOVE ON SISTA!

Topic: RE: WLS Goals for January
I have gotten off track during the holidays but I plan to get back on track and excerise 5 times a week and make sure that I am getting in all my protein. I just want to lose 12 lbs and I will be at the low end of goal weight from my doctor! I really didn't gain during the holiday season, so I am very happy about that. 12 lbs, it seems like such a small amount but when that is all I have left to go it seems like so much! I will lose it and that will put me at 112 lbs!

My GOAL is to get back on track. I've been bad during all the holidays. I've gained 2 lb. I know it doesn't sound like much but better now with 2 lb than with 20 lb. I've been grazing way to much. I need to go back to my regular meals and snacks on schedule. If I could lose a total of 5 lb on top of the 2 lb I'd be one very happy camper.

Topic: WLS Goals for January
I know we have already set New Year's Resolutions. But what are your WLS Goals for January? By setting small monthly goals, it helps enable us to reach the larger long term goals. So what do you want to accomplish in the month of January?
I personally, would like to drop another 5lbs and increase the intensity of my workouts. I am also going to get back into the habit of doing at least one "all liquid protein day".
Happy New Year Everyone!!

I hate resolutions but I think mine will be to be a little better about my eating habits.
I wanted my weight loss to stop so I added carbs back into my diet. Well the weight loss seems to have stoped but now I feel crappy and bloated all the time.
Bye, Bye Carbs!!!

Topic: RE: Tummy tuck here I come!
Good luck chris - You'll be so happy when it's done - I had one in early november - it was just about 1 year post-op from my gastric bypass. I had the tummy tuck and a breast augmentation done all at once and I'll tell you - the pain was not as bad as I thought. You'll be fine. Just keep in the back of your head that every minute that passes is bringing you closer to not being in pain! Congratulations on the weight loss. I know what you mean about being mind-boggling. I still feel like I'm fat sometimes, when I dream, I dream that I'm still fat. LOL - :0) Good luck and God Bless!!

Welcome to the board. I used to know alady from your town. Her name was Mrs. Lumpkin. We went there to see her one summer. Years ago.
I remember going to a lake that was spring fed and swimming nearby. It was so cold. I was 12 at the time.Years ago as i said.
Welcome and come back to see us.

Welcome to the November, 2003 message board! Glad you found us!
BTW, I have no resolutions. I got tired of making them only to later break them.
