Colleen, Congrats on your wonderful weight loss & your upcoming surgery! I too am a year out, at goal. I now wear a size 4 with some 6's! I can't believe I am this size! I too am scheduled for plastic surgery this month. I am going to Costa Rica to have an extended tummy tuck with muscle repair, breast lift & implants for a total of $5400!. I am bringing a friend with me & we are flying out November 10th! I am so excited, I am ready for the flabby skin & sagging breasts to disappear! Congrats to everyone for reaching our 1st Anniversary! This has definitely been one of my best years ever!!I have gone from a size 18/20 to a size 6 petite.I am 5'2" and now weigh 140.My highest weight was 231.I feel FANTASTIC!!!! I have my tummy tuck scheduled for this Wednesday Nov.10.I am going to Montreal (it's just a short drive over the border 1.5 hrs from here) The total cost is $4200. I didn't bother with the insurance since it isn't likely it will be covered.I'm getting a little nervous as time gets closer but I am feeling much healthier than I was last year before surgery.I will post a note after with an update. Hey guys, today is the one year anniversary of my surgery....and boy has it flown by...One year and 3 days ago I ate a steak as big as my head for my last supper! And a few days days after that i was eating nothing but jello and yogurt. At this point, there's nothing I can't eat...just in small quantities. Some things don't make me feel so good afterwards...anyone who's been with me after eating ice cream can attest to that! I sometimes forget that i feel like crap after eating it and then it's too late. Greasy foods....hmmmm..usually not worth it. As far as numbers go...as of today I've lost 115 lbs and more inches than I can count! Here are some of the pros and cons of having lost 100+ pounds.... Upside: ? I've become a much healthier person...you have to put that one first or the doctor will make you gain all the weight back ? Save lots of money on food ? Flying coach is not a big deal anymore...I still prefer first class though ? According to the LA Equestrian Center, I'm not in danger of killing a horse or causing severe back problems...so I can take lessons now ? I get to buy all new clothes ? I can walk up a flight of stairs and have a conversation at the same time ? I'm a cheap date...well not really...inexpensive...but never cheap! ? I save lots of money on my bar tab..I'm drunk after one drink! Downside: ? Ahhhh....lem'me think...hmmmm????? Can't come up with one. Next up...nipping, tucking and lifting! CONGRATS TO US ALL FOR ALL WE HAVE ACCOMPLISHED THIS YEAR!!!!! I, MYSELF HAVE BEEN REFLECTING BACK TO THIS TIME LAST YEAR AS MY SURGERY WAS FAST APPROACHING. (I HAD BACKED OUT OF MY FIRST DATE OF NOV 3 AND HAD TO BE RESCHEDULED FOR NOV.25) YALL, I WAS SCARED OUT OF MY MIND TO HAVE THIS SURGERY BUT CAN SAY NOW THAT ITS THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE. MY ONLY REGRET?? NOT DOING IT SOONER IN MY LIFE!!! I HAVE BEEN THROUGH A FEW COMPLICATIONS BUT CAN SAY WITH CERTAINTY THAT I WOULD DO IT AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT!! i STARTED OUT IN A SIZE 24 AND NOW WEAR SIZE 6/8. MOST OF MY HEALTH PROBLEMS ARE GONE AND I HAVE TONS MORE SELF ESTEEM AND ENERGY TO BOOT!! I KNOW YALL ARE RIGHT IN THE SAME BOAT WITH ME SO I JUST WANTED TO SAY HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US!!!
