Topic: RE: Slow down?
Thanks to everyone for the responses. I knew to expect a slow down or even stall, so I'm trying not to get worried about it. I have bad knees so I can't always exercise like I should--in addition to just not liking being hot and sweaty! Having my own pool is one of those "when I win the lottery" dreams. It sounds so lovely for a summer day.

Topic: RE: Poll Question
I have lost 80 pounds. I only have 23 to go until my doctor's goal. I have been struggling with stalls and only losing 4-5 pounds since my 5 and 6 months. I have upped my protein, water and trying to exercise. I always heard the last few pounds are the hardest to lose. I am hoping to lose another 23 to make it a total of 103 pounds. But it is rough, I will not give up though, just continue to do what I am doing and knowing that it will pay off in the end. I also haven't tried the plateau buster diet. I may in the future.

I have lost 100lbs. I have had many stalls along the way, I have not tried the plateu buster diet thought. I figured they just happen and I keep up my water, protein and exercise. I find since I track my weight each week it usually happens around my mentrual cycle so I have come to expect it and don't worry about it at all.

Topic: I have hit so Many Goals
Well I am now down 100 lbs, which was my first big goal, and wanted to share with all my Surgery Sisters.
I have such great news though. I went to my six month appointment and the Surgeon said that I am doing so great and I am healthy and my blood work came back all normal that he is clearing me to start fertility treatments much earlier then expected. This was one of the main reasons for me having this surgery. We have been trying to have a child for 9 years and no one would help because of my weight and the diabetes. I cried the whole way home from his office.
Now I just need to contact my Primary Care Doctor to get my refferals for a Fertility Specialist and maybe finally someone will help.

Down 85 lbs. as of today (the 8th). Changing my schedule a little, upping the protein and liquid intake seems to help me though I tend to hold steady for about 2 weeks, then drop a few pounds overnight. Inches have been my big loss. Lots and lots of inches.

Topic: RE: what are we eating?
Chicken, shrimp, tilapia, flounder, green vegies, 12 grain bread (1 slice once a week, sometimes twice), berries if I crave fruit, cottage cheese, cheese, protein shakes, avocado, salad and multi grain pasta occassionally. Had brown rice for the first time tonight with chicken.
Mainly though, it's the fish, cheese, or grilled chicken for dinner, protein shake for breakfast and cheese if I remember to eat lunch. Still struggling to make it over 600 calories on a good day.

I've been a slow loser since day 1 and it's definitely slowed even more. Seems about every 2 weeks I suddenly drop a few pounds then stablize again, but the inches have been steadily going the whole time. I've also been building muscle, that's keep some of the loss from showing on the scales. The heat is bad in that I can't get out in it or my Fibro kicks in big time, the up side....I can use the our pool now!!!

Topic: RE: average?
At exactly 6 months, I had lost 82 lbs. Didn't make it to my 6 month appt. (sick), so I'm not sure if that's good or average as far as my surgeon is concerned.

I've lost 105 lbs and really slowing down; just had my first single digit month in terms of lbs lost per month. No real plateau, but slow. Still trying to work exercise into my routine. But I'm happy with my new mobility.
