Topic: RE: How is everyone doing?
I've had my ups and downs but overall I am feeling so much better than I have in the last 10 years! I have lost 61 pounds and have about 39 to go but would settle for 29 but I'm sure it's going to be the toughest part of the weight loss. I think the hardest thing has been learning how to accept compliments. I've just learned to say thank you. Before, I would always put myself down or play things down but now I'm so excited that people are noticing that I just simply say thank you. My energy levels have returned to something around normal and I'm out walking and exercising. I even wake up better in the morning! This is just the beginning of my new life so I'm just going to enjoy each and every day! Diona 225.5/164.5/125 5'6"

For us December babies we are reaching our six months post-op time. How is everyone doing? How much have you lost? How are you feeling? What has been the biggest change for you since surgery? Is there anything else you would like to share with the rest of us? I am doing ok. I am still looking for a job. I called for a call center job today and have some sort of orientation on Tuesday. I am not sure if that means I have a job or what. I have lost 127 pounds as of yesterday. I have one almost a wee****il I am officially at my 6 months since surgery. I would like to be at 130 lost, but hey 127 is awesome and I am so happy with that. I am feeling pretty good. My knees have begun to hurt again and some days I am in so much pain, but hopefully some of that pain will go away as I continue to lose weight. My biggist change has been my feelings about getting out and doing things. I look forward to getting out and about and seeing people. In a way I have become more outgoing. I was so incredibly shy before surgery. I am not sure if there is much more to share. There has been quite bit that has changed and I feel like a totally different person. Well I really hope you are all doing well. Have a great day! Erin

Great job.. welcome to ONEDERLAND!! GO BONES.. is what I say!!!! I've been hanging out inbetween 180 and 184 for the last 3.5 weekds.. up.. down.. and all around. And.. oh yeah.. did I mention this is a truly phenominal stage to be in.. let me count the ways hehe.. Let's just say that when I hit 179 it will be the biggest wow moment for me in this whole process because I have never stalled this long before.. but on the brighter side.. I haven't had to buy any new clothes in the last month.. hehe Keep loosing.. April

No, tea doesn't bother me. Before surgery I didn't like Splenda because it left a nasty after taste but now I can tolerate it. I even cook with it from time to time. I still use Sweet and Low or Equal if Splenda is not available. I have cheated and have had sweet tea at restaurants or if I am out at someone's house that doesn't have unsweetened tea but it still doesn't bother me. I was told at one of my Support groups that I can count my liquid intake as part of my water intake. I have to get my nutritionist to back that up for me and put that in writing though. JaNae

LOLOL! I hear ya! I too have learned how teenage boys can consume twice their weight in food ( and still be thin!) It isn't fair to those of us who get fat from looking at food and have to pay and drag it aLL HOME. : ) I found a recipe for cheesecake made with splenda. It was kind of involved and I made it and had a tiny piece of it. I thought about it all night and couldn't wait for another small piece the next day. Aint gonna happen! LOL!. I get up and the entire thing is gone..not a crumb left. Of course my son didn't know it was special and he and a few friends just wolfed the entire cake down. I'm sure if they knew it was sugarfree they would have said it tasted horrible. Actually, it was good not great and they probably ate it so fast they never even tasted it. Hehe! Sunny
