Topic: RE: Eating out?
We eat out often, so it was something I had to adapt to right away. I haven't been to a 'pizza only' place because that is still too much to process.
I eat alot of seafood....fish and shrimp....appetizers. In a Mexican restaurant, I eat the inside of a chicken or bean burrito. In a Chinese place I can eat chicken, shrimp or soup. I just skip over the rice accompanying every meal. In finer restaurants, I am getting the "add six shrimp" to any entree type thing. My husband is such a good sport about that type of thing. I recently had a 5 oz lobster tail added to his meal at Outback and it was a perfect meal. Italian is good for the manicotti stuffing or chicken.
I have gotten sandwhiches when we order in at work and I just work through the meat and cheese. I even managed to eat protein at a German restaurant the other night.
I find a way to be with friends and family. It makes me feel accepted.

Topic: RE: My sister Gina
Petty, my thoughts are with you and your family through this hard hard time. I'm so glad you have such rich wonderful memories of Gina to hold on to and think about and smile to. If you're any indication of what the rest of your family is like, I know she was a warm and wonderful person.

Thanks guys! I thought I must be doing something horribly wrong
I swore I would not be one of those people preoccupied with the scale - but I have been hovering between 205-210 for the past 3 weeks (depends on if I am naked in the morning
or fully clothed at night!) The day of surgery I was 270 - so I really shouldn't complain!!
I won't panic yet - just need to start excercising regularly and hopefully I can stay off that scale!!
Thanks again!

I am So sorry for your loss, I have no other words to say that will tell you how sad I am for you... We buried my nephew on the 6th. I will share I poem I wrote for him..
~To Mitchel~
Life goes on or so they say
But we can't seem to find our way.
The heavens parted and welcomed you home
But when you left, you left us alone.
The earth trembled when you slipped away
now we can't keep the tears at bay.
With angel wings you soare above
flying away like a beautiful dove.
One day soon we will begin to smile
although it may take a while.
Life goes on, or so they say
But we can't seem to find our way.
~end~
My thoughts and prayers are with you may they lift the pain and hurt if only for a brief moment...

Thank you but I was speaking about Petty's loss of a sister. I personally have not lost a sister, however, I did lose my daughter four years ago. I still miss her.
God Bless

I have again, but it seems I am losing inches eventhough the numbers may be the same. I have been exercing really hard the past few weeks so I may have built up some muscle as well. For me I have stopped stressing it. As long as I keep doing what i am suppose to do the numbers will come down, but I don't mind the sizes coming down though.
Topic: Stall
Okay - I am about 3 1/3 months post-op and just hit my first real "stall." I think my body finally realized I was losing too much weight!! I am still having a hard time eating - so I don't think it is from excess food. I eat about 5-6 times a day. My "meals" may be: 2 meatballs, the insides of a lean pocket, the meat from a lean cuisine meal, the insides of a South Beach breakfast wrap.
I will occasionally have popcorn to satisfy my "salty/crunchy" inclination - but it is the low-fat variety - only 35 calories per cup and I never eat more than that!!
Anybody else hit the dreaded "plateau"??
Thanks!
