Thanks for the vote of confidence.  Nice to know people have heard good things, other than "they're cheap!"  Would anyone have contact info for them?  Thanks again.

I have heard Yale is the best for that. Actually, I haven't heard of any other programs, so Yale it is.

Topic: PS Residency program at Yale New Haven Hospital?
I'm looking for some info for a friend.  She wants PS, but can't afford it (who can?).  I know I read a post a long time ago that had a list of residency programs that do PS, and I thought Yale was one of them.  Of course, I can't find the info now!  Can anyone help me out?  Thanks so much!

I am home and misarable also I just can't get comfortable. I feel better each passing day ( I've been home since Thursday 10/22). All I remember is waking up in recovery and saying please let me die, I had so much pain that was the only way I thought it would go away, my operation took 4 hours because I had so many adhesions they had to remove. I hate pain I am a baby when it comes to pain, I can't wait to reach dull pain.

There is a support at groups in L+M hospital in New London on the third wednesday of each month that are open to everyone.  I think they start at 6pm.  It is a good group and is not affiliated with any one Dr.

They were great with my VBG. I heard within a week of the approval.  All I needed to submit was the psych report, the nut. report and a letter from my primary care physician.  Good luck!!

I am so glad to hear you are feeling better and congratulations on losing those 23 pounds!

As for "bad" nurses, I am a nurse and what you need to do is write a letter to the nurse manager on the unit you were on and explain what happened . Either they were really uncaring , or not educated properly as to what was proper protocal and need to get educated. As a patient you have rights.

Take care

Sher

ps. if you ever are in the hospital again and have an issue with a nurse ask to speak with the nurse in charge or the nurse manager.
