Well, I will come out if its not bad.. And if it is bad then we will have to meet at the meeting on the 19th. Listen both of you. I am also starting a TOPS for bypass group its take off pounds Sensibly. I would love for you both to come. I have the chapter open in Norwich CT but am considering moving it over to New London or a place in the middle of all of us so we can have an extra support group to help each other. Hey Sandra, I am Nancy. I am getting ready to head out to the hospital. I have seen you at the Support Group meetings. You will be getting into the hospital before the storm. All will be well. I'm sure we will be doing laps around the nurses staion together! Angie, I would love to meet you. But..not in the snow. Otherwise I plan to go to the L&M support group meeting on the 19th, and we will meet then. Thanks!

Topic: RE: INTRODUCE yourself....
Well, my list will have to be a little different from most, since I am 7+ years out of surgery. But here goes:
1. Bette
2. Bridgeport
3. December 2003
4. Timothy Ehrlich
5.. 376
6. Not sure. I'm trying to stay off the scale, since it makes me nuts.
7. Still December 2003
8. Goal Weight: 196 (achieved 18 months postop)
9. LOL -*****members so far back?
10. The Lapband was, and still is, the only surgical option that does not involve any permanent cutting, removing or resecting of the digestive tract. That is why I chose it,

I think I lot of people do. There is sadness for having reached the point of NEEDING surgery; there is sadness in thinking that you will be losing a longtime though dysfunctional friend (food); there is sadness at the prospect of the unknown. Then, add to that the family difficulties you are dealing with, and the crying is totally explainable.
However, you should know that there is always support on OH, either here or on one of the many other boards. Don't be afraid to reach out!
Best of luck with your surgery and please let us know how everything goes!
