Hi Stephanie,

I too am in Macon.  My Dr is Dr Arthur Chasen, he is in Augusta.  I do not know if he takes patients from other Dr's, but he is great.  PM me if you want his # or just to chat.

NOT a good procedure! You might want to ask about that on the revision forum. I would also strongly suggest you do some more research about your Dr.!!!

You may not have any choice but to go to a fill center or band mill. A lot of Drs. won't take other patients in bariatrics. COE really doesn't mean much though. Some that are not COE have excellent programs................some that are COE do NOT have a very good bariatric program. It varies greatly. And especially dealing with the band..............it may not matter how good the Dr. or program is..............most ppl just don't do well with the band! I have now had 16 fills in 16 mos. with a very good   Dr. and yet NO restriction.

When dealing with the band it's most definatley a crap shoot.  Having the band work for you is often just a matter of luck................so good luck!!!

Topic: HELP PLEASE??
I recently moved to Macon from Denver.  I had a lapband in January from an excellent surgeon, there.  I need fills and any other aftercare and I'm having SERIOUS trouble finding a doctor that will take me.

Im looking for ASMBS Center of Excellence physicians, which is what my surgeon is and suggested that I look for that.  I was also told to steer clear of Fil Centers USA.

Also, I'm looking for support groups, preferably in Macon, but south of Atlanta will work.

I am super frustrated with my search....help???

Thank you,
Stephanie

Congratulations on your 2 years and your success.  I'm sure you will get the 5 pounds back off.

7:30-8:30. My surgeon, Dr. Kevin McGill will be out of town but Dr. Colquitt will be heading it up in his office. bldg. 35 suite 425
Hope to see you all there. And hopefully after my surgery I will begin a support group at Piedmont Fayette Hospital.
Can we do a poll and see who would like to have one around here?

If it is what I'm thinking it is where they go back over the site again. I believe I will be having this done. So far my surgeon, Dr. Kevin McGill has never had a leak doing it this way.

You are looking so beautiful, and such a nice shape. I'm glad you had fun in the Bahamas.

Love the pose and the outfit in the last pic. That's a good color on you.
