Anyone have Dr. Kane in Arlington Heights for surgery..

Topics says it all, if so how was your experience.....

Hi, you picked a great group of doctors. They are well rounded and have been doing WLS for many years. In fact Dr Rantis did my husband's WLS almost 4 years ago. We are going this next Saturday to speak at their pre surgery seminar. I am not sure if you have gone to a seminar yet but that is the starting point with their group to begin the process.  There are a few people on the IL board that have had their surgery with them. Good morning. I had Dr. Guske from the same group. All of the doctors are fantastic and really care about you as a person. I know Dr. Kane as a professional. He was one of the surgeons who performed surgeries at the hospital I work at. He also took care of me while I was in the hospital and needed a hernia repair. He did some of the post-op visits. This group of surgeons is very committed to their patients, and require an extensive amount of screening and testing before scheduling WLS. They are really looking to achieve the best outcome for each individual patient. I can recommend them highly from both a professional standpoint, I am a nurse and from the patient perspective. I am almost two years out, my anniversary is this Friday and I am so thankful to Dr. Guske for giving me my life back. It's been an amazing journey. If you have any questions, feel free to email me. I am pre-op with Dr. Guske, of the same group. THe whole staff at the Kane Center are great. Anyone you will have contac with will be great also. They are a caring group, and want you to be the best you can be, before your wls, and from what I have heard, also afterward.

Dr. Guskey did my RNY and also did a lumpectomy on me last November.  I have met with Dr. Kane a couple of times and he is also great, but I am partial to Guskey, he is a dream.

I am pre-op with Dr. Rantis. I have had a really great experience so far with the office and with St. Alexius Hospital. My surgery is 6/18. I am getting the lap band. Good luck to you!
