Any Deacones WLS patients out there???

Hello, I have been insurance approved to have gastric bypass surgery at Deacones WLS.  Would like to hook up with others from the area who have had surgery there and hear their stories.  I live in S. IL and Evansville is the closest place for me to have surgery.  My surgery date hasn't been scheduled yet but I should hear something soon.   Dea

Dea, Welcome to the Illinois board.If you are having your wls done in Evansville, maybe you should post on the Indiana Board also.

I did post on the Indiana site as well.  Since Evansville is the closest hospital doing the surgery to my area I thought there might be some people from my area who had gone there.  I have seen some folks from Centralia but I just thought I would see if there is anyone closer. Dea

Hi!  I am from Lawrenceville, Il.  Really close to you!!!!  I am having Lap Band done though.  I have to go all the way to Skokie Il to have insurance cover it.  You are lucky to be able to have your surgery done so close!  Good luck to you! Dawn

I didn't think to tell you before, but Lawrenceville hospital has a weight loss surgery support group once a month.  If you are interested I can get you the times and dates.  There might be someone there who had theirs done in E-ville.  Just let me know!! Dawn
