Wow, that's very encouraging that you were able to quit your respiratory meds after WLS!  i hope you recover soon from the respiratory infection.  Yes those smokes are always bad, but incredibly dangerous to people with COPD.  Thanks for the info, and be sure to write me if you ever think about picking up a cig again!  Take care of yourself.   Janell
