Friday roll call!

Good morning Karey and Illinois! I'm late joining all of you today. I had computer problems this morning and had to give up so I could get my first fill. Thank goodness, the last few days after I finished eating I felt like I could eat more. So now I'm hoping that this will help with that feeling.  Today I am meeting Karey and Sue. I can't wait! What's really nice is that we have the same doctor and the same surgery. We'll have a small local support group going on here! I may not be online over the weekend. Saturday morning my daughter will be coming over early to help me cook for Vince's 2nd birthday party that is being held at my house. Then they are spending the night so we will be together on Mother's Day. Paul, I'm glad to hear that you are getting in your 64oz+ water. It is soo important. Monica, have fun fattening up the guinea pig! Karen, You must be proud of yourself! What an awesome compliment from your grandson! Janet, glad to hear your exam went well. Sorry you are having back pain! Michelle, sorry about the loss of your old classmate. I hope you find something enjoyable to eat at your luncheon. Lisa, have fun shopping for more plants. Last night I bought 2 geranium planters for my balcony. I still need to buy 2 more hanging plants. I just can't seem to find any I really like. I'll just have to look harder. Kim, have fun with your friends at dinner tonight! I'll try to talk Karey and Sue into coming to the support group meeting, so they can meet you and Kelly too! Good Morning Karey! We are all waiting for you to join us on the loser's bench.  I am pretty excited for you!  It is so cool that you can meet up with Carol and other friends---it IS like a mini-support group, and you can't have too much support! I just got in from my upper GI.  It was pretty un-eventful.  I'd be surprised if it took any more than 10 minutes.  The "official" report is not in, but the doctor who performed the test said that my pouch looks to be intact.  When I asked him about the stuck, rock-like feeling I get after eating, he said to make sure I talk to my surgeon about that as it could be a hernia of some sort.  The orders just told him to check to make sure the pouch was intact, with no staple line disruption and it seems to be.  I will talk to the surgon on Monday. I will work for the rest of the day, then it is a "girlie" weekend.  The boys are going camping with the Scouts, so Liv and I may see a movie tonight if I feel that I can stay awake.  Tomorrow, Riley is coming to stay overnight with us, then on Sunday, me and the girls will do something together. I am hoping to get my flowers in, but we will see if the weather cooperates. I'd better get back to work now....... Everyone have an amazing day!

Hi friends. I had a great time in Chicago yesterday and didn't get home till 4 am. I am very sleepy today. Good news is I was able to buy size 12 jeans yesterday! Its been 10 years since I wore a size 12. Still not eating much but mushies and I am not losing anymore weight..... confusing to me, but I am not gaining so I won't complain. Hi Karey..an all of Illinois...HanG in there the best is yet to come...Its been a good day today for me I am feeling very hopeful today.  I have been unable to eat for a few days due to my constipation.  I called the surgeon's office..After 6 days I finally went to the bathroom after drinking a bottle of citrate of Magnesia per doctors orders. I would never wait again after 2 days I am on the phone to the DR.'s. I am looking so forward to my mothers day with my children and grandcchildren..I am making Dawns recipe for dessert. Thanks Dawn Hope everyone is doing fine. My prayers for all of you and your families

Hi everyone! Didn't get on today till late. In fact if I waited a couple more hours, I could have started tomorrow's roll call. I went out to breakfast with a friend and we talked till 11:30! Then I had to get my hair cut. Tonight Kay and I went to Saffron which is a restaurant on Riverside just west of Mulford. She had shrimp with a feta sauce (fabulous) and I had a lamb kabob with roasted veggies. Delicious! Some of the things on the menu are pricey, but ours cost $45 total and we both have a complete dinner each for tomorrow. That makes the meal pretty reasonable. This also included soup and we each had a different kind and both were great. We also had one dessert which we split.
