Hi Norma, yes support group is tonight at 6PM It is the last Wednesday of the month.
There will be a clothing exchange. If your interested bring clothes you have "undergrown" and you can take things that are in your new smaller size. I used undergrown instead of outgrown as that sounds like you got bigger and can't wear them anymore.

Good morning Dave and the rest of Illinois!

I am working today, then I need to get buns for Family Night with the Boys Scouts tomorrow night.  Then home to get ready for the visitation.  I have decided to take the whole day off tomorrow to be there as support for Todd, whatever he may need.  So, if I don't check in, you will know that I am thinking of you all.

Nancy, I agree, IF you can swing if financially, get the AC done along with th furnace.  Cheaper in the long run, but scary amounts of $$$$ in the present.

I have been in contact with the events coordinator for the Chicago OH event in June.  She asked me to remind you to car pool and get together to share rooms so that it is affordable for everyone.  I told her that we were way ahead of her and had already started making plans for this event.  I told her that I would be willing to help out at the event and I have a line on doing that.  If anyone else is interested in volunteering for the event, let me know and I will see what I can do.  I am also thinking of contacting my surgeon's office to see if I can help them at the event in any way.  I like to be involved with things.

Today, I am grateful for:
All of your friendship and support.
My wonderful, healthy family.
My job, even though it drives me crazy at times.

Everyone have a fantastic day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Good Morning all,

I have not been on here much at all.  I am struggling with many things right now and tend to retreat into myself when that happens. I do have an endocrinologist appt tomorrow, hope I get some answers about the thyroid nodule.  I am having lots of difficulty swallowing & sleeping.

I miss you all.

Good Morning or almost afternoon IL!

I am at work and am so bored out of my mind!  Last night I went to a Mardi Gras party and I think I pushed myself too much! My friends are so great and try to be very accomodating for me and even had s/f Hurricanes for me to drink, but I think that is what made me sick! So at 3 in the morning...I was hugging the porcelain god!  Ugh!  It seemed to carry over to this morning and I could barely keep my protein shake down...as it is I only drank 1/2 of it.  So needless to say I am struggling a bit today.

I am also struggling with food in general lately.  I am on the soft food phase but I really find that I am scare to try new foods.  I just don't want to get sick :(  My hubby seems to think it is all in my head...I guess to a certain extent it is.  I guess I didn't think it would be this hard of a transition back to normal consistency food.  I am having a hard time getting all of my protein in and my liquids.  I am only 7 weeks out, but I just want to be normal again...if you guys know what I mean!

Thanks for listening :)

Jody,
What all your going through with food right now is totally normal. I remember feeling the same way about trying stuff and being sick.  Just keep trying to get your proteins and liquids.  Normal what exactly is normal?  I like not being normal anymore, cause that means i'm eating healthier and taking better care of myself.  Even though that drink your friends got you was sugar free, you have to be very careful of the sugar alcohols that may be in it.  I know sometimes I can do ok with alittle bit of sugar, but really dump on high sugar alcohols.  Just give your self time trust me it does get better.  Just hang in there!
