Dear Rebecca:

I do not have any answers for you, but perhaps, if you look at the top post here on this board regarding Medicare and Medicaid doctors, you can find the answers?

Just wanted to say WELCOME to the Illinois Board, and also let you know that there is a support meeting in Rockford at the College of Medicine on Monday night (19th) at 7:00 pm if you are intersted.  Connie usually posts the details on the Friday before.

Tell someone that you love them!

Rebecca, you can try peoriasurgicalgroup.com. I had Dr Marshall and he does revisions and he also accepts medicaid BUT Peoria is a Center Of Excellence and the process is very long and drawn out. It took me 13 months to get thru all of their red tape. Dr Marshall is the best BUT he has the longest waiting time for this reason. Along with being a Bariatric Surgeon he is also the head Trauma Surgeon for OSF St Francis Hospital in Peoria and he also teaches at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria. I recommend him highly and I believe he meets your needs but if your not familiar with the Bariatric Centers of Excellence please understand they are the best in the country but with that comes all the red tape. There are also 2 other Doctors with the group that dont have near the waiting list but remember there is a reason for that!!!

Hi Rebecca,

I'm also in DeKalb :)

I don't know who takes medicaid for revision surgery, but I would look at the post "MEDICAID AND MEDICARE SURGEONS LIST!" and start by calling surgeons that accept medicaid and ask about revision surgery.

Someone mentioned Peoria Surgical Group.  I've heard good things about them, but when I called (about a year ago), they only accepted patients with a certain zip code.  But things might have changed, and it wouldn't hurt to call and ask.  Sorry I couldn't offer any other help, but good luck!
