Hello everyone

Don't worry Lisa no drama here.  Just my typical, wishing it were Friday.  The good thing is because it's my anniversary day I get wear jeans today.  I am excited about that.

After lunch yesterday I felt like a big pig for eating the cheeseburger and a few fries and felt like I messed up my week.   When I really stopped and thought about it I realized in actual calories I really only ate maybe 50-100 calories more than usual (although I ate way to many carbs).  When I kept reminding myself of that fact I didn't feel bad about messing up my weight loss for the week.  I haven't eaten at McDonald's in a very long time.  I would have thought I would have enjoyed the meal more but I was eating the burger thinking "why did I think these were so great???"  I like my Chipotle better now.

I hope Monica and Morgan are doing better today.
Nancy- I have had emotional break downs at work before and I think it's good to air everything out.  It's not good to bottle everything up.

Well I hope everyone has a great Friday Eve!!!

I am pretty boring so most of the time it's just steak and cheese...and I don't eat most of the tortilla.  Sometimes I will have beans too.  The problem is it's very filling so usually the steak and cheese fill me up fine and adding beans is usually too much.

Good Morning!

Thank you to everyone for the messages on Gremlin's passing.

I would like to announce that we are not the proud owners of Pickles.  She is 5 years old and we adopted her from the Vet's office.  She is very friendly  and slept on Morgans bed last night which she (Morgan-not Pickles) liked a lot.  She has always wanted one of our cats to like her the most.

Monday when I went to the vet I saw the adoption board for Pickles and just about brought her home that afternoon.  I came home and told Scott about her.  (I am not someone to just bring home an animal the plan was always once the 2 older cats passed then we would get another one).  Yesterday morning Scott called me and said I think it was ment to be that we get Pickles from the Vet.  So yesterday Morgan and I were able to meet the owner and spend time with Pickles.  The owner allowed us to adopt her and now she is part of our family.  We have Trouble who is 18 1/2, May Catarina who is 5 and now Pickles who is 5 and part Maine Coon.

I passed my state exam on Tuesday.  I am now a state and federally licenses Mortgage Loan Originator.  That was the worst exam I have ever taken.  I hold an Illinois Insurance Producers License also.  Of course that exam was years and years ago but I don't remember it being as difficult as this one was.

Tried a Peanut Butter and Bannana sandwich for breakfast this morning.  Yum Yum.  I forgot what they tasted like.  Used 1 piece of bread and cut that in half, about 2 tablespoons of PB and a little bannana.  So far so good.

Not much more going on today.  It is month end for us also and I have to work from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. or later tonight.  Then its FRIDAY!  Yay!  Crystal,  I live for my Fridays also.

Have a great day.

Good morning,

Ok, a little drama today.  Today we were to turn in our lease on the VW Jetta we have.  The inspector was to be here somewhere from 8am-1pm but when I went out to start it, we have a blown tire.  I called around, found an exact tire (the car only has 15,000 miles on it so the tire should have been fine) and made an appt to get it switched out.  When I called the inspector, they couldn't come this afternoon and because it's due today, they wouldn't make a new appt.  UGH!!!

It's all worked out now.  We will drive to Crystal Lake and get the new tire and turn it in at the VW dearlership there.

I got a really bad migraine yesterday.  It stayed with me until after I went to bed.  I need to talk to my dr about medication.

I paid for a Scentsy ad to run in our local paper for two weeks.  They ran it last week but "forgot" to run it this week.  So they gave me next week and the week after for no additional charge.  Mistakes happen and they will make it up to me!

That's it for me today.  I hope everyone enjoys the sunshine while we have it!

Take care,

Jules

Dear Jules:

A couple/few months after my RNY, I began to get lots of  KILLER HEADACHES FROM HE!!.  I also got very irritable (which I normally am NOT).  These were all related to hormones being released as the fat melted (or something like that).  It was one aspect of the surgery that I had not been warned about and had not expected.  I got some migraine medicine and it all evened out after a couple of months and I have only had one other migraine in the 4 years.

Good afternoon Lisa and the rest of Illinois!

I am working hard.  We are very busy and are moving the new division into our building today and tomorrow.  David is here helping with the manual labor.

I have good news!  David's dog seems to be reacting very well to the steroid treatment and is getting much better.  The other day, her back feet were like two fishes out of water, just flopping around and/or dragging on the ground.  This morning, she woke me up crying to go out.  When I let her out of her crate, she ran out and almost got to the stairs before I could catch her and carry her down.  I set her down outside and she supported her back end and went potty, then began to look for a place to do #2.  She was still a bit wobbly, but walked around and did her business.  She is black and in the dark, I lost her and she had run around the house and up the stairs to the front door.  She then went into the house and ate a helping and a half of dry food like she had not eaten in WEEKS!!!!  She drank a bunch, I gave her medicine and she is crated all day.  I think.hope that we have dodged the bullet and will not have to put her down quite yet.  That is good news, because David was/is not handling the idea very well.

So, we are happy, at least for now.  We are to begin decreasing the dosage today so we will see how it goes.

Tonight is the night that the hair person for the production is going to cut David's hair.  We are interested/nervous because they said they were going to "experiment" with his look.  Fun, fun!  I will be painting scenery all night.

Everyone have a wonderful day!

Happy afternoon all,
I am about to do something crazy!!  I am going to ride my bike to the school I work at (5.5 miles) and meet my hubby there.  My goal is to ride my bike to and from work starting next week.  This will save on gas and also help my leg jiggle.  Who would have thought that my legs would flap so much as I loose weight!!??  What have you all done about the flap?  Have you had it shrink some?  Ugh!!  This extra skin is not attractive.
This afternoon, my kids and I met my hubby for lunch.  We went to a Chinese restaurant.  It was very good.  I had Chicken Chow Mien (crunch noodles vs the soft).  I ate about 1/3 of my meal and brought the rest home for tomorrow.
Tonight I am making sloppy joes using ground turkey.  I hope it will be good.
I heard back from my doctor's with my blood work results.  YEAH!!  All looks good.  In fact, my blood sugar has dropped, blood count up and vitamin levels all normal!!  YEAH!!!  My protein is on the low normal side so I need to increase my protein intake.  I think I can do that.

Hope all have a great day!!
Debbie
