Hot flashes?????

You have my sympathies. I know that some people get relief from soy products or black cohash. Try to avoid the hormone replacement gig. That is what gave me my blood clots on the lungs. The good news is that winter is coming and outdoors is a wonderful place to cool off. I hated this time of life! Good luck, hang in there. You are in my thoughts.

Stress and coffee exacerbate my hot flashes. If I am stressed I get a ton of them. So I try to exercise daily to control the stress and I also drink chamomile tea. I also eat a bit of dark unsweetened chocolate. It soothes me.
I have also heard Black Cohosh works.
Now for the main reason I no longer have hot flashes......I decided a few years ago that i simply could not walk into church or into a meeting in the middle of winter with sopping wet hair from a hot flash. I was so embarrassed when someone gave me a hug at church and I was drenched in sweat. I started on bio-identical hormones called the Wiley protocol. These are not the hormones that are made from pregnant horse urine like premarin that is prescribed by gynos.
Within 4 days of using the cream I was hot flash free. I also noticed a major drop in my blood pressure and stress levels. I have been on them for 3+ years and will continue until I keel over. I cannot go back to night sweats, bad sleeping and hot flashes.
