Just curious how long everyone took off from work after surgery. I originally was going to beg to go back before the six weeks but I thought what the heck, I deserve some "ME" time to recover and adapt to the new lifestyle.

I would give yourself as much time as you can. I was back on light duty at home less than a week out lol Running kids here and there basically my mom duties.

i went back half days at 2 weeks out for 2 weeks. really wished i had taken at least 3 if not 4 weeks off. i got really tired easily so needed extra rest when i got home. take all the time you can.

I took four weeks off. I rested the first two weeks and enjoyed my time for the last two weeks.

i had open rny and had the 6 weeks off..glad i had the time off,,just made it so i didnt have any problem

I had only requested 4 weeks off, but changed my mind after I saw Dr Loggins last week and called my boss and will now be out for 6! I do some pretty physical work at times and I get tired out now....so, will enjoy time to heal and make sure when I go back I can make it through the day! Ruth
