My mom's surgery is Monday!

Hi everyone!  So my mom is a busy bee this week.  Picking up prescriptions, her clear liquids etc.  She has her appointment today with Dr. Loggins for the pre-op stuff today, then all her bloodwork etc.  I keep asking if she is nervous or excited.  I think I am more pumped up for her...so she must be a tad nervous. I am so excited to have her on the bench with us soon. I can't believe it is time for her surgery already....it went by faster it seems. I wonder who else is having surgery on Monday...maybe they will be roomies.  One of these days I will get her set up with a user name....cause I know she reads the board!  Now she has to post!

Thats wonderful Tanya it will be great to have her with us on the losers bench.

This is so exciting for her and you!  WOW!  Time HAS flown!  Can't believ it's already next week!  She must be nervous and excited!  Is she coming to the support group Thursday?  Wish her luck for me!  honks and hugs too!  Ruth

That is awesome for her!  My surgery is next  Wednesday.  I have my pre op visit today too!  I am very anxious to be on that losers bench!

wow. that was quick. i'm sure it was an eternity for her. wish her good luck and i'll be thinking of her. you're a great role model for her.

I can imagine your Mom is feeling a lot like I'm feeling.  I don't think I've felt such a mixture of emotions about something in my entire life.  I'll be thinking about her and will say a prayer on Monday.  I will probably still be in the hospital myself.  Let her know that posting on this board and getting to know us girls will serve as a tremendous source of strength.  You girls have been lifesavers for me...Have a great day!!!

Her name is Lorraine Townsend.  I am sure she would love the well wishes.  I am gonna get her on here one of these days.  At least she will be coming to the meetings with me after too :)
