I saw Dr. Wilke at Edina Plastic Surgery - he did an awesome job... Super nice man and I highly recommend you do a consult with him.

Since I had two procedures done at once, he gave me a discount - he was still pricier than the other PS in the area - but I am THRILLED with the results and loved that he was located right next to Fairview Southdale hospital in the event of an emergency.

So I am about 8 months out from surgery and about 5 pounds from my goal weight.  (Actually, I will probably end up a little south of my goal when it is all said and done).  Of course, as expected, I am REALLY WRINKLELY!  Not my favorite look. 

Have any of you out there used a local plastic surgeon?  Who would you recommend?  I will be self financing, and the amount these surgeries run seem to be completely varied and all over the map.  Any thoughts on what the price range is for Minnesota?  I could use some work on my rear, outer thighs, lower back and a little on my belly and arms. 

Any thoughts?

These folks from the South of the River group are the BEST!!!  I found them right after my surgery, while I don't make as many sessions as I would like - we also keep in touch through Facebook and some of us even swapped phone numbers and such. 

I am going to try to make coffee this weekend - hope to see some of the peeps, I do miss you all so much.  Summer keeps me busy and gone most of the time!

Welcome to the forum - these folks are so helpful and compassionate!  AND - when we have clothes that we outgrow - we do clothes swaps at coffee - it is the greatest thing!

Well July 19th is the date I got to the clinic for my first meeting.  I will not be seeing the surgeon, but his medical doctor 1st, so i dont even know what to expect when I go.  i have decieded that if i get a revision from my Vertical Banding I want the DS.  When I had my 1st surgery i wanted the RNY and i didnt get it I was 21 young and not prepared to fight for what i wanted so i went with the doctors suggestion and feel I lost alot of time.  So this time around i plan to fight for the chioce I have decieded for myself.  Any one got any Ideas, suggestions or other wise for me in preparing for my appointment?
