It is a low-carb diet, but a lot of that stems from needing to eat protein first, then veggies and fruits for vitamins, so starches are always last on the list. They're basically empty calories. My surgeon just wants us to have a healthy diet, and this is the best way to go after WLS. By the way, I saw Dr. Allen in Great Falls and would recommend him in a heartbeat.
