6-week Check Up

Hey everyone, So I went to see Dr. Walton today, and I weighed in...........54 pounds gone forever! and in just 13 weeks. Doc said that was 34% of my excess body weight, and that he was extremely happy with me! Yay! I got praise from Dr. W! Jess put me on a different form of multi vitamin, it's a spray thingy, so I had to get some iron pills while I was there, and I grabbed some wafers because Jess said I could have those for breakfast!!! So all in all things are looking great! Just wanted to share my wonders!! O, and one more thing, when I started this whole journey, I was wearing a 22/24, and now my 18/20s are getting really big! That's two whole sizes down!!! I'm just hesitating on buying new clothes because I know they won't be around for long. Luckily, my boss was very understanding when I told her that I was going to be wearing sweats all summer. She asked why, and I told her about the surgery, and she said "By all means, you can wear a potato sack for all I care, just keep losing the weight!" lol, I like my job!

Wow!!!  That is amazing!  What is your secret?  I've been stalled since day 10 post-op.  You should be so proud of yourself. Denise

Way to go! My suggestion on clothes is thrift stores. Between thrift stores and hand me downs and the occasional eBay bargains, I've made it without buying anything new. Your sizes change so rapidly that unless you have a special occasion, it doesn't make sense buying a lot of stuff new.

Congrats on the 54 lbs gone, Michelle!  I was going to suggest Goodwill to find some clothes for an amazing bargain since you'll be going through sizes fast (even skipping sizes).  I found some good stuff there when I was dropping weight pretty fast.  Just a suggestion~ Congrats again, girl!  Keep up the good work!
