~~ As for that whole surgery wars thing, I think we're all entitled to be happy with our individual choices of our WLS. I am happy with my RNY, just as the next person is happy with the VSG, the DS, the lapband. We are all different and all suited for different things.

When I was in that very early 4 week stall from hell I thought I was going to have add the malabsorption part of the WLS menu. I went to the DS FAQ's and it scared the poop out of me! I totally admire the folks that think that is the best/only choice for them. They have to be so dedicated to their regimine in order to stay healthy. Wow! So glad I didn't need to add the second component to make this journey a successful one.
I have maintained for one year at this point. I am steady at -120 pounds. =)

What a huge accomplishment! I didn't realize what a rough time you had before surgery and then a rocky start with the long stall. You have OVERCOME! WTG!
Wow Denise!!! That's awesome....I can't wait for that day to get here for me as well. You sure didn't walk like a woman who had used a walker last year!! You kept the other 3 of us moving right along. I did have some pain in my calves after my "hike" with you girls but I amazed myself as well. It's awesome what a gift we now have. You GO GIRLFRIEND!!!
This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!
