2 and a half weeks post-op Panni Surgery.*Pics*

Hi, I cut and cropped before and after pics and was gonna put them on facebook. For some reason they are not showing up cut and cropped. I will keep trying.

The littlest dog is my brother's. He is a maltese. The bigger one is mine and my mom's. She is half lhasha-apso- half american eskimo. She is the prettiest! Thank You,BTW! :)

  Looking good Joanna!!! I am sure your glad its over with now. I just had RNY last week and am alreadly looking forward to having my panni removed! lol! Love the pic with the cat, he's very pretty. Take care and don't do to much, I have that problem right now myself.

Why would the binder rub on your incisions? You ARE wearing an abdominal pad between your incisions & the binder, right? You get them at Shoppers Home Health beside the Metro store on the NE corner of Yonge & Davis Dr. They're 24" long X either 8" or 10" wide. The pad will help keep your binder clean too.

I put the pad on my abdomen. I put on a cotton undershirt over the pad to hold it in place. Then I put the binder on. Then the underwear went on, over the binder. You won't wreck the binder by cutting the 3rd band off. 

Honestly, wearing the binder will really help with the swelling. 

 

andrea, thank you, thank you.,. i was just at metro yesterday. i walked there and around metro.never made it to shoppers. i was gonna get the vitamin c and b12 they have on sale and lysol. i was feeling so sick and almost passed out.had to take a cab home.i haven't worn my binder in 2 days.it feels so much better with it off.i still have an upper tummy of fat and lose skin and with the binder being too long it folds an creases into my incisions. i was never told any of what you told me. dr.sproule just said to wear it as need be. what would we all on oh do without you and your knoiwledge. thank you, andrea. i will have to look for this. :)

The Shoppers Home Health is not a standard Shoppers Drug Mart. They sell walkers, leg braces, wound care supplies etc. They don't sell Vitamins & Lysol. I think there's only 1 in Newmarket & it's the one at Yonge & Davis.

Hi Andrea, I think i got it mixed up with another Shoppers. My Dad is coming over in the morning. I will ask him if he can take me there. Thank You so much again. Can I ask if you know if it makes a difference in healing and the final results with having the binder on? I only have hip to hip incision,no upper tummy incisions. :)

I only have a hip to hip incision. I didn't need the fleur-de-lis incision (with the extra vertical incision).

My surgeon was pretty specific. For best results wear the binder religiously for 6 weeks. Even after the 6 weeks he told me not to stop cold-turkey as it'll take a while for my stomach muscles to adjust. So, for 2-3 weeks after that I wore it during the day & didn't at night.

I don't know about you, but I wanted "Best Results".
