Has Anyone Blacked Out After Standing Up?

I don't know if would be the same as what can cause seizures but here's what can cause them.
Low sodium, low calcium and low magnesium.    They can be caused by drinking too much water, the water can clean the blood too much and reduce these levels.  I'd try to get those levels checked it's an easy way to start diagnosing what could be causing the black outs.
I forgot low B6 can be a cause too.

Thanks Jan.  I am good with calcium and magnesium... I do take them every day but this is good stuff to know.

Cheers,

Sue

Yeah, my sinuses are good.  No recent colds or any pressure so I'm thinking BP.

Thanks!

You definitely have it worse than me Nadine.  Have you seen your doctor about it?  That's got to be terrifying!

Hey
This post two weeks ago would have really helped me.  I was feeling the dark, dizziness a few weeks ago but only after 30 minutes on the elliptical at the gym.  It happened once when I came home after the gym, and laid down.  When i got up the same feeling.  I checked my sugars with my hubby's glucose reader and it was 4.9...little low but not too bad considering it was just before dinner so no food in system really.  So I stopped my bp medication.  Went to the doctor and it was still alittle high but nothing he would put me on medication for.  Well i have worked out this week, and I no longer get it.  So for me it looks like it was bp.  I also just got my labs back from HRRH and they didn't mention my potassium or anything being low.

So you have heard from the "doctor's" on OH, can't wait to hear your update as to what a "real" doctor says.  Keep us posted.

Good luck and hope it doesn't happen again.  It could be dangerous.

Cathy

Yes, I'd say there's a strong possibility of that for sure.
