throwing up

ok well im over two years out rny and has anyone else noticed that they can't throwup anymore??i can dryheave like crazy but to actually vomit and bring stuff up no not me anyone else out thre the same i worry when the day comes i get the stomache flu that would be so nasty

I don't throw up (dump), I am 7months out now.. and I haven't had the flu either.

There was a post on another board about exactly this issue.  Apparently it's more common than you'd expect and several people noted that they dry heave but nothing comes up.  I can dry heave with the best of 'em, but thankfully when something really needs to get out, it does.

I posted this exact same question on the Barix Clinc site last week lol. It has to do with the fact that the pouch doesnt really hold food for long and the part of the stomach where the muscles contract for us to bring up food to throw up is bypassed. Its frustrating cause all I want to do is throw up when I dont feel well but guess its not gonna happen. :( Wouldnt change my choice about my RNY in a million years though.
