Optifast

Hi all, the search for this subject is not great. there are a lot of threads for optifast, but I am trying to find out a few questions, if some-one can answer.

1. DIN number for optifast for insurance.

2. Has anybody claimed optifast under any insurance programs?

I checked the Health Canada Drug Database and there is no DIN for Optifast.  I checked with my insurance company and I can claim it under my health spending acct but not under my drug plan.

ETA:  Call your insurance company and ask if it would be covered since you're having surgery.  I work in the health ins. field and some policies come with clauses that cover for weight loss products if they're medically supervised or medically necessary.

Hmmm...the DIN....the only thing I could recommend is to contact Nestle - they make Optifast and maybe they have one that isnt publised on the site...never hurts to ask the source....

No DIN and no coverage from health insurance.  :-(
Yet, Ensure is covered!  Go figure.

There are 2 numbers on the order form

chocolate 744-G9521565
vanilla 744-G9521564

Not sure if this means anything??

The lady at medical mart  said just to send in this as my receipt to claim
