Ultrasound Question (for the "pros")
First, man, she pushed hard on my ribcage.
Second, why do we need one? I'm assuming it's to evaluate the quantity of Optifast and the location of all my insides, but does anyone know for sure? Just Curious, George.

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!

2) Amount of fat in your liver (Optifast quantity/length)
3) How your liver is situated on/around your stomach (they DO move your liver out of the way during the surgery).
4) Thickness of your abdominal wall - determines IF surgery is possible and what tools they will require.
5) Checking for any anomalies/lesions or anything else that the surgeon should be aware of before "digging in".
