For anyone who was heavy before gaining this weight ... a question.

I've always enjoyed looking at the "Before / After" pics on OH, and I've seen quite a few women who were as heavy or heavier than me get down to 150 lbs and look gorgeous.  I have just assumed they were previously slender and are now back to their 'before before' body.

So, my question is, for anyone who was always on the heavy side and has lost the weight ... Do you find that you're smaller than your previous smaller size?  i.e, When I was married (for the first time ) in 1990, my wedding dress was a Size 16/18, and I considered myself fat then.  When this weight is gone, can I expect to look 'better' than my wedding memories?  I know it's all arbitrary, but I'm just wondering about the experience of others.

Thanks.

I was never slender.  I went from Girls 12+ to Womens 14+ and then just continued upwards.  I am much smaller than I ever was.

I know that at 115 pounds that I am smaller than I ever was as an adult. I can not remeber when I was so small.  I am buying clothes in kids department that I know I would not have fit into when I was in my teens. It is a real crazy feeling and yea I do get some looks when I stop and look at some tops in kids department and go and try them on.  The great thing is not taxes.  Love it.

I never had a smaller size,   i was the largest child in all my  class pictures.  I did not have a smaller wardrobe to shrink into.  So.... I have never been this small as an adult or a teenager.  I'm 50 years old and experiencing a whole new life.  There are problems and hurdles, but I love this new world. Don't take it for granit.  But enjoy.  I just got back from a trip, I went scuba diving and Zip linining in the jungle.  OMG. I would never have even tried these things before, even though I have been in these countries 3 times.  ( central america, and mexico). I am 2 1/2 years out, have had some plastics , belly/ boobs.  Just move on and enjoy.  (At my first wedding I was a 20, at my second I was a 24).  Just don't let yourself transfer your addiction, to food, to anything else.   Awarning well taken. OK??

I too am smaller than I ever  was or have been....

I mean I must have weighed this at some time, but the number was a quick flash on the scale as it rode upward....

I fluctuated around 170-180lbs in high school (I'm 5'9") and was over 200lbs at 20.  Got under 200lbs a few times in my 20's for a few moments, but never lower than 180lbs.  Like Tab - I went from kids sizes to borderline plus sizes in woman's clothing.

I'm in the 150's now and a size 6.  I was never this small in my life.

I was 365 now i sit at about 150-160 depending on the wee.. lol I NEVER remeber myself at this weight ever and i'm 25. I always sit there and try and remember and i think in grade 8 i remember 220 on the scale.

Don't expect to look better or worse than what you are, Set little goals for yourself and see how those go for you. Remeber, Baby steps :)

Steves Gal....I'm not quite to where I was when I was married but thats 35 years ago, and 2 babies later!!  In all honesty, I think it depends mainly on your gene pool/dna, your age, how many times you've lost and gained over your years of being heavy...just my 2 cents..Patti K.
