Not sure what you are allowed to eat at this stage as every clinic is different.  After seven days out of Guelph I was still on clear fluids, so for me it was still clear broth and jello.  When I got to full fluids, where it sounds like you are, I was allowed oatmeal and cream of wheat, which I just loved.  What about making your own vegetable soup and pureeing it?

Another suggestion...have you checked out the recipe board to see if there is anything there that you might like in the soup section?

You should have received a list of recommended foods from the Nut at your centre.  You can try calling them to discuss.

Here are some of the things that were on the list I received:

milk - skim or 1%
oatmeal - unsweetened
cream of wheat
protein shakes
tomato juice
no sugar added pudding
unsweetened applesauce
no sugar added yogurt - I really like the source - lemon parfait - not to sweet - very tasty

Hope this helps,
Good luck!

can't go wrong with greek yogourt - packs more protein into a small serving than the regular yogourt.

I was able to tolerate the Gardennay brand of cream soups (they come in a tetra box). They are really thick so I added a bit of skim milk (and skim milk powder to boost the protein). The Red Lentil may be a bit heavy, but they had a a butternut squash one that was good, mixed vegetable and an asparagus one.

I made applesauce from scratch. It was yummy and gave me something to do.

Greek yogurt with a bit of sugar free jam mixed in is a nice change and you don't need much jam to adjust the flavour.

It won't be long and you can start purees. A bit more variety.

Hang in there.

Hi Mollyandboo! It's been ten days for me. I feel much the same as you. I am on a different protein mix than you, but the one I have is a chicken soup powder which is much tastier mixed with tomato juice. It's like cream of tomato soup then. It isn't bad just mixed with water, but tiresome. Two days until I see my doc, and maybe get my staples out! That's the worst --- they are so itchy!
