At the two hour nutrition class, do they weigh you or is it just like an informative class aimed at many people not individual focus?

At the classes you are not usually weighed. This isn't Weigh****chers!

Plus as it is run by medical professionals, they have patient confidentiality to consider - something that isn't possible in a group with 20 or so folks...

It's an informational class teaching you about what your program expects you to follow after your surgery...

No, you're not weighed. It's just general info for a group of people - no individual focus unless you ask a question but even then, the answers are always general and aimed at the group as a whole.

I didn't get weighed until I saw the Dietician. She took height & weight measurements. The surgeon just asked me how much I weighed - his scale wasn't working.

I was told thata at Guelph's class that they have just started recently that they do weigh you and if you are over 5 lbs heavier than the last time you were there they do ask if there is a reason.

Just passing on what I've heard.. not sure what centre you are in though.

Best of luck  :)

I hope they take monthly cycles into consideration for this...

Yes, apparently they do as the person I spoke to discussed that during the weighing process and said that they were very understanding.

I am going through Windsor as well. I just my class in April. They won't weigh you but they will start you on your 2 month food journal and assist you in making the right choices. I go back to see her tomorrow (finally!)
