NSV-Small but powerful to me
Like many other areas today we had a torential downpour this morning. I slept in to begin with, my basement flooded, forgot to make lunches last night and my Dad left his lights on and called for a boost in the middle of the downpour. I get to work SOAKING wet with no other clothes. My boss says we have some spare shirts that we use for give-a-ways just grab one of those. Well - four months ago I wouldn't have even thought to look in the pile as there wouldn't have been one that came close to fitting. Today - there was!
It is the small things that make you feel good. Now I am dry with a smile (and a new shirt-lol).

WOW! Sounds like your day started off pretty rough! I hope that fitting into that shirt puts a smile on you for the rest of the day. :) That's great Kristie, I am so happy for you. I know the panic that sets in when we are offered a t-shirt in those situations. My old boss used to get them for us and they never fit, it was such a panic inducing thing for me. Enjoy the rest of your day :)

Congratulations Kristie. It's truly is funny that the little things make such a big impression on us. I have 4 older sister now of whom have a weight issue. Today I actually was able to wear a hand me down skirt to work that one of them recently gave me. I honestly think that this is the first time ever that I was able to wear something that one of them has worn. Who knew that hand me downs could make me smile.
Keep up the good work and I wish you much continued success on your journey.

Seriously, I'd probably physically recoil at the suggestion I head over to a pile of clothes to find something to wear, knowing the unlikelihood of finding something that'd fit.
