I consider this a Surgical Victory ...

since without surgery, I wouldn't have had to ... wear a belt with my pants today!

Ever since my surgery, I've been living in my bike shorts, since it's been so hot and they're very comfortable.  Today, I put on my blue jean pedal pushers (or whatever you call the 3/4 length pants) that fit fine before surgery, and found them way too big!  I had to dig out my belt, which hasn't seen the light of day for years.

I'm down over 40 lbs., with a few 'hiccups' (aka stalls) of a day or two here and there, but at least I'm losing!  My goal is to be down at least 55 lbs by my birthday in September.

Isn't it great when everything fits more comfortably!  Keep a blue bag handy, sounds like the pedal pushers are destined to find a new home in the bag very soon.

Had RNY surgery July 22/11, St. Joe's Hamilton, with the awesome Dr. Scott Gmora.  Had abdominoplasty August 2/13, Scarborough, with equally awesome Dr. Michael Kreidstein.

In my mind (where many things are strange and wonderful) this is how it breaks down: bermuda shorts come just above the knee, pedal pushers come just below the knee, capris come mid calf and clam diggers cut justabove the ankle....

Congrats on your SV!

Way to go Beth - it's truly an amazing journey. Just wait until even the smallest hole in your belt is still too big, it's awesome! Enjoy the sweet taste of success.
