Ooooh, that's great, thanks!

I'm new to the site and have been reading about 'angels'.  Could you explain the concept and how to get 'hooked' up.  I am in Toronto and have only just had my first 'referral' appointment with Dr. Grantcharov.  I am so anxious to get started and hope the process moves forward quickly.  Thanks for any information you can share.  I've been reading all the messages in the Ontario forum and the information has been amazing.

Hi and welcome!

An angel is someone *****ports back to us here on the forum on the day of your surgery to let us know how you're doing.  Additionally, an angel can be somewhat of a "mentor" to you, offering more personalized support, guidance, and a shoulder to lean on.  Often angels are people who are a little further out from surgery and can provide real-life experiences.  It doesn't have to be someone who lives close to you, simply someone you have "connected with" here on the forum.  There is also a list of angel volunteers that you can choose from if you can't find someone.

Hello, my name is Kelly and I just joined this site a few days ago.  I have been reading all the different posts and finding them very helpful and informative.   I really like the idea of an angle as I am still a little nervous.  There's so much info to review. 

after waiting for about 5 months I finally got a call for the orientation at TWH this Wednesday.  Looking forward to the appt but not the 7 hour drive!

 Any advice or insight would be awesome
