Step 2..... : )

It's now been around 2 months since I gave up diet coke for good.  I can say with 100% pride that I have not had even one mouthful of it since the day I decided to give it up.

I admit I thought that I wouldn't be able to do it - I'm elated that I showed myself that I could.

So now I am ready to take the next step.  I am going to give up all of the junk foods that have been both my best friends and evil enemies..... I feel it is time to say goodbye and part ways with my horribly unhealthy snacking ways and this is the first step.

Tonight I am going to enjoy some of my favourite potato chips and then tomorrow when I wake up it is game on - no more potato chips or sweets.  It is time to get them out of my life before surgery.

I'm nervous and feel like I'm about to have a bad "break-up" but it is what it is and has to be done.

Well good for you both!  All the bad habits that you kick now will make your life post-op much easier. Way to go - keep up the good work.

wow, very good - stay strong, you can do this, it's just food, not your friend!  lol
I did exactly that on February 1st of this year - never had anything other then water or crystal light to drink....stopped eating at night and ate healthier and numbers don't lie....lol

If it helps at all, I had a much tougher time with diet pop than I did with sweets.  Chips.. now that's different.  They will call my name until I die I'm sure!  But I can resist!  LOL  So can you!

All the best,

Laura

I'm so proud of you ... and I've really enjoyed reading your responses and reading/watching your blog/vlog (?hope I'm using the correct terms - this is all new to me).  I too have an unhealthy relationship with pop, but for me it was regular Pepsi.  I stopped drinking all carbonated drinks on May 1st of this year and I've not had even a drop.  Now I have water and decaf coffee or tea.  But man does pop call to me sometimes!  As for the chips, they make a perfect couple - one that I can't affort to hang out with anymore.  YOU CAN DO THIS!  Bravo for your efforts and keep posting!
