Vitamin Question
Hi, I had my surgery June 27th. When I got out, I started taking a chewable multivitamin (not with a lot of iron) and when they finished I started trying split tablets (I had been allowed to take split anti-biotics previously). Before surgery, I didn't have any problems taking pills. At one point, I tried taking One A Day Women's 50+, but on the second day of those, I was affected by dumping syndrome. I then found the Equate version of this multi-vit, it's better, but I still have about a half hour of nausea after taking it. A friend suggested Swiss One 50, but it's timed released and I'm not to take time release pills.
Could someone suggest a high iron multivitamin that they have had no reactions to? Or let me know if they have tried a lower dose of iron in their multivitamin and took the iron seperately without reaction? I don't want to go back to chewables as I hate tasting my medicine.
Thanks,
Cathy

Hi there,
No suggestion re. a vitamin as I do the chewable, but I wanted to suggest that you take your multi after eating something if you're not doing that already - I feel awful if I take mine on an empty stomach.
