That's a great question. Thanks for asking it. I'm looking forward to seeing the responses.

Sometimes you just put one foot in front of the other, even if you don't know where you're going.

I am 2 weeks Post-op and the only difference I find right now is taking vitamins or pills.  Although I am still on liquids for 2 more weeks have chewed anything a a very long time well over a month now.

Everything still feels the same for me. The only time I have any difficulties is if I eat too much. Then swallowing becomes difficult because there's just no room for anything to go down.

If I didn't experience foamies, pain from eating too much I would swear that nothing was done because I don't feel any different physically from the surgery.

Hi, I'm 3 weeks post-op and have no difference in swallowing. I take 8 pills a day, one is a large blood pressure pill and it goes down fine, right from the day after surgery. ( I know some centres crush pills, Guelph doesn't). I don't feel anything different, other than getting full quickly. So I have to watch that I don't gulp my water, and sip it instead.

Swallowing feels the same as it always did.  The only real difference that I can see is that if I am really thirsty and gulp my water, or swallow a bite that I didn't chew up well enough I get a pain kind of behind my breast bone. It doesn't last very long but it does remind you that you need to sip not gulp and eat slowly and chew well.

I'm the same as Moselle.  Exact same unless I swallow too much.  Before it wouldnt' even have phased me... now it just hurts!  Great deterrent though!!!

hmmm The only thing for me that feels different is hunger pains.  I didn't even have any until I was about 5 or 6 months out and even then it feels more like a gnawing feeling and not a true hunger pain.   I don't get them often though.  Oh well and then there's less pain in the knees, etc.  Oh and my butt hurts when I sit on a wooden bench - never thought that this would happen lol.
