What are you eating/doing today? (Mindless Monday)
So apparently I'm over myself.
I do not want to go to work. But I will, just for fun. Oh, and go to the bank to get a new card. And then shop for groceries that I didn't get to do yesterday due to lost bank card. And then some cooking of wonderful things for the week in the evening.
B - coffee with milk x 2, protein shake
S - 21g cheddar, 1/2 an apple, 2 crackers (not sure what kind yet, I have many in my desk at work)
L - large egg bite (I think I have an addiction problem), small green salad with balsamic dressing
S - protein shake and coffee mixed together, or if it's warm out an iced coffee instead
D - chicken breast, spinach salad, poppyseed dressing
S - pickle (only Strubs, everything else is just wrong) wrapped in deli turkey and cheese, dipped in Frank's
Did I mention I don't want to go to work?

Oh, and did you know that Dr. Alberto Aceves is the HEAD of the Mexican Society of Obesity Surgery? For a fraction of the price. lol The ads here kill me.

You want a paycheck, you will go to work LOL
Question: do you find that when you eat an apple from an orchard they are harder to digest then the apples from grocery store, I find that I am eating the fresh apple slow but they hurt me but if I eat an apple from the store, possibly because they are older, they don't hurt??? Was told that it shouldn't make a difference, but my body is saying there is a difference DUH, just wondered if anyone has the same issue or not?
And yes the ad does say that it is cheaper by getting your surgery in Mexico by Dr Alberto Aceves, LOL how much cheaper than free??? and travel costs etc???

Orchard apples are fresher and harder for sure. I don't eat a lot of apples as I find them hard on the stomach sometimes, so you may have a good opinion there. I find them filling - do you? But nice with good cheese. lol

I'm flocking off for a few days and at the mercy of my mom's cooking. LOL She did call to ask what I would like to eat and I am sure I can convince her to let me take over the kitchen to cook it, here's hoping.

Good morning!
Haven't really planned my menu that well.. was supposed to sit down and plan out a week's meals and then do the corresponding groceries.. but got sidetracked yesterday car hunting and didn't get to it. Will have to do that tonight and go from what I have here today.

S - cottage cheese - 1/4 cup & 1/4 banana
D - mini meatloaf/gravy and spinace/cheese risotto
S - protein shake
Going to the doctor at lunch to get my knee checked out. Hopefully get that fixed, but either way, should have our second car on the road Wednesday or Thursday so will be able to get back to the gym then and start up my swimming again! :)

Hi Karen,
About a month before surgery I turned around to go out a door and something in the back of my left knee kinda snapped. I had been babying my right leg due to a foot injury and think I just put too much pressure on the left one. I was hoping that relaxing after surgery would give it time to heal, but since starting to exercise again it has really starting hurting badly. Walking as exercise is out right now. I can still swim - carefully at least, so I'm focusing on that until they figure out what's wrong with my knee. Should have dealt with it when it first happened, but since I was taking time off for surgery I didn't want to lose more time at work. Oh well.. live and learn! I'm not giving up on exercising or anything.. just changing things up!
Keep your fingers crossed for me that the doc thinks its an easy fix!
