Karen, you and the other vets are a wealth of knowledge that can not be replaced.  I am fairly new to the forum and one of the reasons that I became a member was because of the wonderful insights and wisdom that you and the other vets have to offer.  I understand with some a little knowledge is dangerous, but they are everywhere!!  Please continue to support us pre ops, you' Tracey, Dawn, Barb and Linda have a world of experiences that we can all learn from.

Thank you so much for your expertise

Hey Kid

Not sure what brought this on as I have been out of town for a few days.....

...but I sure agree with much of your post - especially #1 - but I understand it also

There are two things that I would like to see - not really a vent - just what I would like to see changed

1. Please put more in your heading if you are the Original Poster ( OP).... I may be able to help or comment but miss many because of time contraints....so I only open up posts based on their title that either interests me or I think I can help..

Example - "question"....and then nothing else....please spell out what you want - question re protein - question re optifast - question re hair loss etc

2. Please dont put an URGENT star on all of your posts....Its rare that anyone really has an urgent post - but if you do we will notice if it doesnt happen very often....this is just a pet peeve for me

You don't deserve to be **** on for any reason.  As a vet, your advice is invaluable, and anyone inexperienced at the ins and outs of this surgery pre and post (myself included, but each day buysme a little more experience) should seriously consider what you have to say, as well as the advice of other  vets here (regardless of their personal procedure).  The vets have all calmed my fears more than once, so thank you for being there.

Had RNY surgery July 22/11, St. Joe's Hamilton, with the awesome Dr. Scott Gmora.  Had abdominoplasty August 2/13, Scarborough, with equally awesome Dr. Michael Kreidstein.

Karen .. I know the feeling.. I am not a vet.. but man there are days where I need to walk away from the computer because I think  WTF...

really... in the past 3 hours there has been 3 of that SAME topic but by 3 different people I am sure the information contained is valid for you too...

another one that burns my butt is telling someone to ignore the doc... although i will admit there has been less of that around in the past few weeks

Oh an Karen... F you too..LOL and I mean that with love... smile...
