Hi Everyone!
I just got back from my 1 month post op appointment with Dr Reed.. I'm actually going to be 6 weeks post op on Thursday but Dr. Reed was on vacation so I had to wait.. He was very happy with my progress, he said I am doing great. We went over a few things and he put me on Nexium because I am having some burning in my pouch that he is almost positive is acid reflux.. But other than that everything is hunky-dorey (lol).. I wasn't suppose to see him again for 6 months but he wants to see me in December just to make sure my tummy troubles are under control..
As for the weight loss I am just shy of 40 lbs lost.. but Im in yet another stall so I put away the scale and I'm just trying to focus on everything else right now..But I do have a question for anyone who is taking  Nexium.. on the box there is a sticker that says do not crush or chew but the pills are HUGE! Do you have problems swallowing them whole? Or am I able to split them to swallow it in 2 pieces?
Thanks!!

I think Nexium is timed released... you may want to call the pharmacy and see if there is a smaller pill and you take 2 of them or what would they pharmacy advise

I was just prescribed 2 months of pantoloc, and it's a tiny little pill, about the size of 2 grains of rice!  Mmmm . . . rice!

Had RNY surgery July 22/11, St. Joe's Hamilton, with the awesome Dr. Scott Gmora.  Had abdominoplasty August 2/13, Scarborough, with equally awesome Dr. Michael Kreidstein.

How much different are they then the Materna vitamins they recommend, cause they are huge.  I asked the nurse at Guelph last week about cutting those in half since they are so big and she said no take them as they are its fine.
