colace gel caps

I'm seven months out (TWH), and used the liguid Colace for 1 month right after surgery and then switched to the gelcaps. The liquid is not very tasty, but I watered it down since you need to take it with water anyway. I'm not an expert, but I certainly found sticking with liquids that first month made life a lot easier on the pouch.

I took the gel caps but found they didn't work well for me. I don't think they were breaking down enough. Also my drug plan wouldn't pay for them as Stool Softeners are available over the counter. I find that Lax A Day works much better and you can put it in almost any liquid.
