What are you eating/doing today? (Monday)
I appreciate your opinion Tracey- should I replace the almonds and soy nuts or just have nothing at snack time? I am having a hard time thinking of what to eat - I need to dig deep.

How about some meat and cheese roll ups or a hard boiled egg or some cooked meat that is leftover or even some tuna salad, salmon salad, egg salad on a few crackers. We were told to keep our snacks around 150 calories and mostly protein. I'd make it more protein and less carby. Not sure if you like the greek yogurt but even a small amount of that has a lot of protein.
Dh took last two boiled eggs this am- I will boil up some more to have on hand. I forgot I have turkey bites and turkey pepperoni too- I can swallow tuna but not my favourite- if I fill it full of fresh veggies it is more tolerable- I will work on that- thanks a lot Tracey.

Take baby steps Jen to get back to weight loss mode meals and snacks. Even if you can't make a complete change in a week, small changes each day will get you back there.
I know you have a family to cook for as did I but I didn't make two seperate meals. I just took from what I was making for them that was WLS friendly and left the rest. When I made pasta, I ate no more than 2 tbsp of the noodles with sauce and the rest it was more like a really thick meat sauce with some fresh grated parm on top and then a salad on the size. Those few tbsp really made me feel like I was still eating pasta and was satisfied with a small amount. I made myself eat the other stuff first and then only eat the noodles if I had room. Sometimes I could eat the whole 2 tbsp and many times I just had a bite and that was it but still didn't feel deprived. When I made stuff like stew, i wouldn't eat any of the potatoes. When I made any meat, veggies and carby side for them, I ate the meat first and then the veggies and if really wanted the carby side, it was limited to 2 tbsp again and eaten last.

working on a two day headache....am kicking out the carbs today so the headache will likely get worse for a day or two....I am prepared for this as I need to get back to my preferred eating
Its amazing how quickly you can get sloppy....and I dont feel well when eating poorly..

s - Zero yogurt or an apple
d - leftover chicken with some turnips
s - more chicken if needed
Extra water - will hit at least 3 litres plus decaf coffee and back to some Vanilla Rooibos tea....all vits too

At school, honestly not getting much done, feeling quite unmotivated today; might be due to the dull, rainy day combined with an emotional hangover from yucky feelings yesterday. I'm having coffee with a friend after lunch, then off to class. I did manage to get a workout in before I came to school this morning, so I guess I'm doing ok!
B - > 1/2 C Greek yogurt, 1/3 c strawberries, 2 T Kashi Go-Lean cereal
S - small Bartlett pear (they're in season; yum!), decaf tea w/ milk (later)
L - 3 oz turkey, salad w/ LF dressing, 2 crackers
S - 1/2 oz LF old cheddar, 2 oz grapes
D - cream of chicken soup
S - protein shake, maybe some SF jello
