I sent you a note, but just a general FYI for people...

You can buy them from the pharmacy at Humber, and the pharmacy at TWH will soon be carrying them if they aren't already.

You can also now order a limited range of products, most of the ones a RNYer post-op would need, through their Canadian website: https://www1.bariatricadvantage.com/

You don't need these over-priced "bariatric" vitamins!

The chewable iron and high ADEK multi-vitamin are good products!

I realize you can get what you need elsewhere by being careful in reading the labels and combinging different things, but BA makes it very easy. And they realy aren't that much more expensive, a 90 day supply of ADEKs cost about $40, versus Centrum's costing about $25, and by taking the ADEKs you have reduced your need for as much B and D supplementation, which further brings down the cost. And if you're taking anything other than Centrum Forte (which isn't chewable), you aren't getting any vitamin K and some of the formulations are missing trace elements like Selenium. From the research I've read vitamin A and D deficiency are the most common deficiencies for RNY post-ops after iron, so I think it's worth it to have a multi-vitamin with extra of these things.

I know they aren't 'neccesary' in the strictest sense of the word, but if cost isn't your #1 concern for your supplements, the convenience is fantastic.

Supposedly we can order them from the Bariatric Advantage Website but I've tried a couple of times and it errors out when I try to place the order.
My labs were great while I was taking Bariatric Advantage before. Now I have issues with low Ferritin and D.
