Getting excited. My PATS appointment is 7:45 am tomorrow. I can't wait to see officially what weight I have lost in the 2 weeks on Optifast. Hoping to also find out what time my surgery will be - may be they will be able to tell me but maybe not.

When I went for my PATS at HRRH, I was there for 6 hours. You might find it helpful to bring a good book and some bottled water with you. Hubby and I were in no way prepared for that long a wait and it was hell lol.

Just got back from my PATS appointment and it was fast. I was there for 7am and finished before 9am.
The best news is that since starting Optifast I have lost 13.5 lbs in only 2 weeks. Wow what a start and I have 1 week left.
My appointment include meeting with nurse Debbie (her sister had RYN about 6 months ago) she was very nice. She did a full medical history and went over my meds. I then had blood taken, an ECG and then spoke to the anesthesiologist. The anesthesiologist told me what meds to stop 1 week before surgery and what ones to not take the day of surgery.
Now all I have left is the final week of Optifast and my surgery next Friday. Soon people will have to be moving over to make room for me on the bench.
