Stall?
Since being admitted into hospital for a concussion and dehydration a week ago saturday and gaining about 5 lbs due to IV fluids I haven't lost any weight. I have been bouncing between 302 and 302.5 for the past week. I may also me retaining fluid due to my "Friend" arriving any day now. Any suggestions?
Stalls are frustrating but normal.

There is no hard rule about it --- it all depends on your body. Sometimes it's a week, sometimes it's a month for some people. You just have to back off the scale for a bit and then keep plugging away. You'll find one day that the weight will just drop off.
Try not to sweat it too much. I found sometimes too I would even have a gain but then that wright and MORE would just drop off..... It will play with your head more than anything else.

Many, many people stall 3-4 weeks out. I did, and it lasted about a week and a half. Your body is adjusting and the scale will move soon.
Dehydration is very dangerous and can happen easily early out as can be hard to get enough liquids in until you're used to sipping all day long. I hope you're feeling better! When I'm in PMS, I usually stall and then drop on day 2 or 3 of my cycle.

just keep doing the right things and wait it out. Fluid gain is temporary, and will leave on its own. When y ou actually count the number of calories you're taking in, and if you know how many calories it takes just to keep your body functioning (breathing, heart beating, staying upright) you'll see that your body has no choice but to lose weight.
Don't sweat it. You have other things to worry about. You take care of yourself, your head, your fluid intake, etc.
merry christmas.
