OT - sad times for me
Sounds like you and your friend have a very special bond. I can't possibly say anything to make you feel better right now, but I did want to say I felt it was a very thoughtful plan for you to recreate your adventure in Europe from so many years ago. She is going to be very lucky to have you supporting her through her illness.

I'm so sorry that your friend has been given such sad news - my heart goes out to her and her family and to you as well. I will say a prayer for her that she still has a long time left in which to do the things she needs to do to be at peace when her time comes. She's very lucky to have such a good friend as you. Try and stay strong........

Oh Gaby! I'm so sorry. I lost my best friend last January to breast cancer. We went through WLS together and right after our 3 month check up at TWH she was diagnosed with cancer. I only had 3 more months with her. . . . she declined quickly so it was hard to create new memories. . . . . .but, we laughed and hugged and spent as much time together as possible. I made sure that I told her how much I loved her and our relationship - I know that she already knew that but it was important for me to say it out loud.
Take advantage of the gift of time. I love that you are planning something wonderful to look forward to.
My heart is with you and your friend.

Gaby,
I am so sorry to hear about your friend. Please try not to be sad. She needs you now, and she needs you happy and supportive (which I know you are). Do not give up hope. I am an 8 year ovarian cancer survivor but was fortunate it was stage 1 and caught early. I know you are hurting. My prayers go out to you and your friend and family. Hugs too
