Hey there, was wondering if anyone came down with anything before their surgery and had to reschedule?
I have been overly anxious for my surgery for a long time now, days have felt like years, and now that it's less than 48 hours away, I think I caught my mother's head cold. I guess I'll have to call and reschedule.
Any ideas on how long will it take? Feeling really devestated:(

You may still be able to have surgery. I had surgery with a head cold but was sent home when I had a chest cold. I'd call your centre to let them know and see what they advise. It's often up to the anesthesist if they will allow you to be put under or not.
Usually unless you have some sort of infection, they'll go ahead with it. Good idea to call and find out.

If it's ahead cold go get a netty pot and keep your sinus's cleared out and help the head cold go faster

LOL No one else in my family will try it either. My sister in law said if she wants to feel like she's drawning she will go jump in the lake lol
