NSVs galore...
I have to say that I have had so many NSVs lately I really can't count them. Being off for the holidays I always try to get some stuff done around the house, and this year I accomplished so much more than I ever have. I know this is entirely due to more energy and less weight.
The cable guy has been here twice this week (needed some re-wiring done) and I was getting up and down off of chairs and ladders to help him out. Hoisting myself onto a chair used to be very difficult (physically and mentally...fear of breaking the chair was always there!), but I did it without a thought this week.
I helped my mom put together a new pantry cupboard. I was bending over to screw things, up and down off the floor multiple times, lifting and moving...no stress on my knees, hips or back and afterwards I wasn't exhausted!
I have done a couple of big grocery shoppings (all the holiday company!) and I no longer try to bring everything in from the car in one trip...I can make multiple trips in and out of the house without even thinking about it.
I cleaned my oven, did several loads of laundry (up and down stairs half a dozen times), mopped my floors, washed my windows, put a new water bottle in the cooler, did dishes, vacuumed and did various other chores....ALL IN ONE MORNING!!!! That much housework would have taken me days before.
I feel like (for the first time in my adult life) I am a healthy, fit, able woman. I don't feel like I have any limitations anymore. I know I still have quite a bit to lose, but if I feel this good after losing less than half the weight I want to...I will be superwoman once I hit goal!!
I love my RNY...it was the best decision I ever made and I will always be grateful that I had this opportunity.
Look out world...here I come!

HI Tracy,
Someone else (April) posted yesterday about getting back her independence.
The recent theme seems to be "Empowered Women".
It is so inspiring to see other women regain their power and get control of their lives.
Keep up the good work sister, the world needs more women like you!!

Surgery JAN. 19th, 2012 - Down 120 lbs & 75 inches @ my last Weigh in!!!!
Tracy, this makes me so happy. Isn't it wonderful to be a participant in your life, instead of a bystander. I used to avoid doing things or offering people help because it was just such a chore.
Today, i did a 4.5k run (well, jog), did two loads of laundry (all folded and put away!) vacuumed, and did the dishes. i unpacked and organized boxes, and i made supper.
in the old days, i wouldnt ahve done any of that. well, maybe made supper. Or, if i had done even part of it, i would have been couch bound the rest of the day.
I LOVE my LIFE

Thats awesome Tracy!!
I am just starting to feel better about my decision to have RNY as well...and realizing all these little things that people take for granted is so worth it! Who would have thought that accomplishing housework could make you feel so great?? LOL!!
Congrats and keep up the good work!
