3 years!!!!

Well, 3 years ago tonight; I had my “last'Â" favourite meal (no optifast diet in the states) with my angel and her husband in a nice little Italian restaurant in Long Island New York. Tomorrow is my 3 year surgeriversary….INSERT THE BIGGEST SMILE POSSIBLE …HERE….. I had my surgery in the states. I have no regrets I would do this again in a heartbeat!!! In the past three years I have gained a whole new respect for myself, and a life I LOVE
I have done things I never imaged possible, from going to the gym regularly ...to buying a small compact car that I have room in to move about in . Never mind RUNNING the New York Marathon…42.2 km last November….. For For all you NEWBIES and those you are lurking out there…hang on and jump through all the hoops ÂÂÂ" theyÂÂÂ" may throw your way...The result is amazing…. To the veterans on here...Thanks for all you words of advice and encouragement you give on here…

Happy Surgiversary tomorrow! I'm just over one year post-op and I'm absolutely thrilled  with the results of my RNY and if anything just wish I had done it years earlier.

I love hearing from longer term successes. Keep up the good work and I wish you much continued success.

Congratulations on your 3 year surgiversay!  And thanks for sharing it with us.  I'm 9 months out and am worrying about regain already (I know, it's sort of obsessive), so it's great for me to hear from people who are doing well several years out.
