Morning all.  Like the rest of you...soooooo tired this morning.  Maybe because I stayed up till 1:30 folding the laundry I put off all weekend, and watching season 2 of Parenthood.  I am so loving this series.  Why haven't I watched it before?? I have finally bit the bullet and found myself a counsellor near home with which to discuss food issues.  I am going tonight, and am a little nervous, but think it  will be worthwhile.  I have been a bit weak in my resolve lately, and have been snacking at night.  The scale hasn't moved (permenantly), in months and months, and I think that has caused be a lack of motivation to continue succeeding.  I have still been exercising though, so luckily, I haven't gained anything.

B- P28 bread with PB

S- greek yogurt and some blackberries

L- genoa salami and a few melba rounds (packed 7 of them, but will try not to have them all :)

S- bo****ini and tomatoe salad with salt and pepper.

D- undecided

S- probably a protein shake after my run tonight

Hang in there Marny -

your intake is not very much, and you're still addicted to exercise, so the scales will budge at some point.
Who cares if it's not very much?

You're doing all the right things.

AND I recently read an article that explained the ratio of exercise to body mass, and the disproportionate amount that losers like us have to exercise in order to burn more efficiently.
It doesn't seem fair that X amoutn of exercise burnt Y amount of calories when we were fat, but we now have to exercise twice as much to gain the same benefit.

But that's the way it is apparently.

Hi Sandy

Just wanted to say thank you for putting in the quantities of what you are eating (1/2 banana, 3/4 c soup).  I'm trying to get a better feel for what people are actually eating, not just food selection, and having the amounts really helps.

AND congrats on the 149 - well done!

Good evening gals :D

I got called into work first thing this morning. I am still having some "issues" with going to the washroom, even after taking citramag
I talked to some friends (that also had RNY) and one even talked to a dr (chief in our ER dept) He suggested that I take colyte (sp) but I need to discuss this with my surgeon. One friend said that maybe I have a "bend" or a small twist in my bowel. It was suggested that maybe I'm taking too many vitamins. Also, it was suggested that I don't eat so much dairy. I tried to get a hold of my dietician and my surgeon today but no response and I really need to figure out what to do. I can hear alot of noise coming from my belly and the occasional passing of gas.

My menu for the day was:
B- 1/2c granola
S- fibre bar, 100g cup of source yoguart
L- "leanne's" style pizza- cheese crust; toppings were bacon, red and green pepper, keilbasa, pepperoni, mushrooms and cheese
S- 1c salad w/italian dressing
drive home- protein shake
D- quesadilla w/chicken, and leftover pizza toppings
S- cookie and tea

all water, tea and vitamins in

Have a good night
